About Us
Sanford, Bruker, and Banks has a long history. Our roots grow deep and strong. Davenport Sanford started the agency in 1915 in downtown Augusta. Mr. Sanford was known for his commitment to helping others, community involvement and willingness to go the extra mile. The agency captured these same values and continued to grow over the years. His sons-in-law, Ronald Corbitt and Cason Bruker, joined the firm in 1938 and 1947, respectively. Through many years of growth as well as through natural changes due to retirement and death, the agency continued to hold to the ideals established by Mr. Sanford – Mr. Sanford passed away in 1958, Mr. Corbitt retired in 1977 and passed away in 1981, and Cason Bruker remained active in the business until 2007. Davenport Bruker joined the firm in 1983 and has served as the company’s president and CEO since 1986. Jeffrey Banks joined the firm in 1986 and is the agency’s vice president and CFO. In today’s business climate, our history reminds us of the importance of doing things right. Misters Sanford, Corbitt, and Bruker serve as a beacon as we proudly go forward and write the next chapters of the agency history.

Additionally, many of our associates possess a professional designation, such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR), or Accredited Advisor in Insurance ( AAI).
